Moffat Ekoriko - Publisher
Moffat Ekoriko, the company's Chief Executive/Publisher is a journalist with nearly two decades of professional experience with Nigerian and international publications. Previously, he worked for Nigerian Tide, Port Harcourt, Newswatch, Lagos and Africa Today, London. He was also the Lagos correspondent of The Times, London and a contributor to The Observer, London.

In 1996, Moffat was awarded Nigeria's highest media honour, the Cecil King Memorial Prize for Journalist of the Year (1995) by the Nigerian Media Merit Award, a year after the London based Nuffield Foundation awarded him the Commonwealth Press Fellowship. At Newswatch, he won in-house prizes and commendations for professional excellence.

Moffat studied at the Polytechnic, Calabar and Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Nigeria. He holds a master of arts degree in communication studies from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He was also a press fellow at Wolfson College, University of Cambridge where he did a study o­n options for managing the environmental impact of oil production.

Moffat is the author of Reporter's Diary (1988) and Constraints in Media Practice (1999).


Jon Offei-Ansah -  Deputy Editor
Jonathan is accomplished in publishing.  In a career spanning 24 years, he has written extensively on African business and economy for various London-based publications.  He has also written for the UN publication, Africa Recovery and the New York based business magazine, The Network Journal.

As Editor of Africa Economic Digest, which used to be the leading publication on African business and economy, from 1994-2000, Mr Offei-Ansah steered the magazine through stormy times during the incarceration of its proprietor, the late Chief MKO Abiola.  Jonathan has also done several news analyses on Africa for BBC World Television, BBC World Service (Radio) and UK’s Sky TV News.

In March 1998, he presented a paper on the Importance of Culture to the Development of Tourism in Africa at the ITB, the world’s biggest tourism fair, held annually in Berlin, Germany.  He also addressed the Blantyre Rotary Club, composed largely of Malawi’s business elite, on the Merits and Demerits of Structural Adjustment in Africa, in September 1997.

Jonathan holds a Diploma (with Distinction) from the London School of Journalism and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communications from the London Metropolitan University.  Between April and December 2003, he was a Consultant to the Mirror Group newspapers in Zimbabwe. In 2005 his article on China’s increasing economic relations with Africa was first runner-up in the Best Published Feature category of the Diaggeo African Business Reporting Awards.


Alhassan Bangura - Accountant
Alhassan S Bangura, a chartered accountant joined the company in July 2002. Prior to joining the company, he worked for the Catholic Releif Services in the Gambia as systems accountant, KPMG Management Consulting, Gambia as IT consultant and the Sierra Leone Ports Authority.

He holds a first degree in electrical engineering and underwent development courses in business information processing and analysis. He took and apssed the qualifying examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the UK. His professional expertise bestride accounting and information technology. He specialises in business systems analysis and design.


Angela Emuwa - Director of West Africa Operations
Angela Emuwa (nee Aboderin) is a director of Punch, Nigeria's largest circulating daily, and many other companies. She is an advertising and public relations practitioner and had previously worked as corporate affairs manager, Newswatch and advertising sales director for Africa Today.
